The Killers have revealed that their new studio album will be titled 'Battle Born'.
The Las Vegas rockers have spent the last year working on the follow-up to their 2008 third album 'Day & Age' and are likely to release the album in the autumn, NME Magazine reports.
Speaking to Rolling Stone, singer Brandon Flowers said that 'Battle Born' is both the name of the band's own studio and a nickname for their home state of Nevada. He added: "In a sense, all Americans are battle born. Our ancestors came here for something better."
Song titles confirmed for the record include 'Heart Of A Girl', 'Flesh And Bone', 'Carry Me Home' and 'Runaways' and producers credited with working on the LP include Madonna collaborator Stuart Price, Steve Lillywhite, Damian Taylor and Brendan O'Brien.
Describing the record, drummer Ronnie Vanucci said: "It's living up to its title. This is our difficult fourth record."
