The Hives have announced a UK tour for later this year.
The Swedish band will release their new album 'Lex Hives' on June 5 and will promote the record with five shows in December.
The tour begins on December 10 at Bristol's O2 Acadedmy and runs until December 15 when the band headlines at Manchester Academy. The band will also perform in Birmingham, Glasgow and London.
'Lex Hives' is the Swedish band's follow-up to their 2007 LP 'Black and White Hives'. It has been produced by the band themselves and contains a total of 12 regular tracks, including the single 'Go Right Ahead', which is the second track on the LP.
Band's frontman Howlin Pelle Almqvist told NME that although some track on the album represent a significant departure from their earlier record, the album 'still sounds like The Hives'.
Almqvist added: "There's no formula but it definitely sounds like The Hives. Every good band there is has a certain sound. There are a few songs that couldn't have been on any other Hives album, that are sort of a departure, but I'd say that kind of happened on the last time album too. But I'd also say that they couldn't have been on any other album by anybody else either."
The band are also confirmed to return to the UK to play this summer's Reading and Leeds Festivals at the end of August.
The Hives will play:
O2 Academy Bristol (December 10)
O2 Academy Birmingham (December 11)
O2 ABC Glasgow (December 13)
London Roundhouse (December 14)
Manchester Academy (December 15)
