The Stooges postpone tour as Iggy Pop breaks foot
The Stooges have been forced to postpone their upcoming US tour to allow frontman Iggy Pop to recover from a broken foot.
He injured himself during a concert last month.
The group was performing at the Peninsyla Festival in Romania late last month when Iggy seriouly hurt two bones in his left foot.
The singer eventually visited a specialist to receive treatment after enduring the pain and now doctors have told him to have six to eight weeks bed rest to allow himself time to heal.
This could not have happened at a worse time for the band as their US tour was about to begin on Wednesday and now dates will have to be rescheduled.
A statement from the frustrated frontman says: "I hate this, I hate like hell to cancel or postpone anything. I only saw the doctor because it hurt so f**king much and I couldn't fix it myself."
