Stevie Wonder paid an emotional tribute to Michael Jackson at a gig on Tuesday by dedicating his beloved track I Just Called To Say I Love You to the late singer.
The soul legend was performing at Montreal's international jazz festival earlier this week - and changed the lyrics of his hit track to honour Jackson, who died last week.
He sang, "Michael knows that I'm here and I love you/By playing and buying your music to show your family we mean it from the bottom of our hearts/ Sure we mean it from the bottom of our hearts."
Wonder told the crowd, "Don't get hung up on the negativity of what's being said. Keep him alive by celebrating his music and his legacy."
But the singer struggled to contain his grief at the show. One gig-goer says, "He was upset. His voice cracked a few times."
