Boyzone star Stephen Gately spoke about his desperate wish to become a father in the final interview before his tragic death.
The Irish singer passed away at his home in Majorca, Spain earlier this month from natural causes after suffering a build-up of fluid on the lungs.
He opened up about his sexuality in 1999 and went on to wed businessman Andrew Cowles in a civil union in 2006, and in his final interview, with Britain's Reveal magazine, Gately spoke about his desire to start a family - hinting the couple was considering adoption.
He said: "The one big thing I see in my life is children. I'd love to be a dad. Andrew and I are always talking about how amazing it would be. It is something that we need to look into properly but I don't think I'd ever feel fully fulfilled in my life if I didn't experience the job of being a father."
