The Spice Girls kicked off their world tour on 2 December (07) in Vancouver, Canada, before moving on to venues across the U.S. and their native U.K. The girls will return to North America at the end of January (08), when they play concerts in Boston, Massachusetts, Toronto, Canada, and New York.
Spice Girl Geri Halliwell is so scared of getting ill on tour - she's turned to a bizarre diet of garlic, beetroot and carrots to boost her immune system. The singer, known as Ginger Spice, has been desperate to look and perform at her best during the girls' much-hyped world tour, having let her fans down when she quit the band in 1999.And she is pinning her hopes on a special blend of root vegetables as well as her daily yoga routine, to ensure she doesn't collapse before the extensive tour ends.A source tells British newspaper the Daily Express, "Geri was working so hard to prepare for the tour. The girls are really pushing themselves to the limit. The fans mean so much to her and she is scared about letting them down if she were to get ill. She wants to perform to the best of her ability every night".Tagged in The Spice Girls
