Sly Stone has entered rehab in Caliornia.
The news comes less a month after the funk icon opened up about his intentions to get clean after years of battling addictions to alcohol and drugs.
The eccentric star, who is currently homeless and living out of a van, is desperate to change his fortunes and claims his is ready to get clean and back to making music.
At the end of September, he told TMZ.com he had been clean for 'about a week and a half' and was serious about getting to rehab.
Now sources confirm the star has checked into an unidentified clinic.
An insider tells PerezHilton.com: "Sly has fallen on very hard times in the past few years. Sly will be in rehab for at least the next 90 days, and he is committed to getting sober."
