For the first time, fans can purchase their very own Simply Red concert in video format. Market leader, simfy live exclusively accompanies the band Simply Red on their “Farewell” tour
The technological world innovation by simfy live is being used for the first time on the Simply Red farewell tour: all appearances by the British pop and soul legends are being recorded on video and can be purchased with the audio recording on USB sticks directly after the concert.
Mick Hucknall: “We are all enjoying the tour immensely – our fans don’t make it easy for us to say goodbye! That’s why we are really excited about the idea of our people being able to take home the live recordings as a personal memory of our farewell tour."
The internationally renowned band are on their final tour, entertaining millions of fans with hits including “Holding Back The Years”, “The Right Thing”, “Something Got Me Started” and “Fairground”
The live recordings on high-quality USB sticks, which feature a custom Simply-Red design, provide “Farewell” tour concert goers with an unforgettable memory of the event. Directly after the show, fans purchasing one of the USB sticks can take home the complete audio recording (320 kbit/s MP3) as well as a video of the first 20 minutes of the respective concert in H.264/MPEG-4 format. Fans who purchased a video voucher at a concert can subsequently download the full-length concert video from simfy live free of charge.
Simply Red already successfully collaborated with live music specialists simfy live during their Greatest Hits World Tour 2009, selling over 40,000 USB sticks. During the course of their career, Simply Red have played over 1,000 concerts for more than ten million fans. Simply Red’s final concert will take place in London on 19 December.
