Rap mogul RUSSELL SIMMONS threatened to fire a writer on his entertainment blog after they defied his orders and posted photos online of a model he's rumoured to be dating.
The Def Jam Records co-founder attended the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) Awards in New York on Monday (06 Jun 11) with Victoria's Secret beauty Angela Bellotte on his arm.
The stars fuelled rumours they are dating after happily posing for photographers at the event, held at Manhattan's Lincoln Center, and the images were soon posted on his website GlobalGrind.com.
He warned bloggers to steer clear of commenting on his love life, but one daring writer found a cheeky way around the ban and decided to upload old snaps of sexy lingerie model Bellotte on Tuesday (07 Jun 11).
In a post entitled, "Bellotte Forces GlobalGrind To Break Russell's Rules", the reporter writes, "This afternoon while GlobalGrind was having our daily meeting, Russell Simmons walked in and told us his personal life was off limits...
"Normally we would listen to Uncle Rush, but c'mon, this woman is way too hot for us to not be posting pictures of her. Besides if we only post pictures of her it has nothing to do with his personal life right? Right!"
The breach infuriated Simmons and he took to his Twitter.com page to express his anger at the post, writing, "I told the f**kers not to put this up, someone is getting fired today."
However, he soon saw the error of his ways and the yoga fan later admitted he had acted in haste.
He wrote, "Looking back at that tweet, that wasn't very yogic of me. I'm not mad at anyone over this anymore."
