Anglo-Asian pop star Rumer is hoping her career takes off in the U.S. so she can revisit the places that helped save her life in 2005.
The Slow singer is currently promoting her stunning debut album Seasons of My Soul on America's east coast and she's hoping to get out west, so she can head back to the Grand Canyon, Arizona and Zion National Park.
Rumer, real name Sarah Rumer Joyce, first came to America six years ago after suffering a near-breakdown as her career started to take off in Britain - and her healing tour through Utah and Arizona really helped recharge her batteries.
She tells WENN, "I love America. I think I've got a past life connection... that I was a Red Indian, or something. When I was finding the whole thing really tough back in England and it was all kicking off, I had a bit of a breakdown, trying to deal with the change.
"I took off to America and went to Arizona, Utah, Zion National Park, the Grand Canyon, Monument Valley.
"I feel so in love with this country. I feel the energy here really strong. America saved my life because, going to the Grand Canyon, I went from having a breakdown... and it was like jump leads for the soul.
"My batteries just died and I went to the Grand Canyon just to be at awe with God and this universe and be filled with that energy. It saved my life... I just collapsed and I came to America to heal. I was flying."
