Here’s hoping Rihanna’s new edgy persona’s working for her as it’s not working for cosmetics giant Nivea, who have announced they will be dropping the star.
The new head of Nivea’s parent company Beiersdorf has come out and said that the R&B star will be no-longer be the face of the company, with Stefan Heidenreich saying that the stars recent behaviour was to blame for the split.
He went on to tell the Daily Mail that "The advert starring Rihanna was a no-go. I do not understand how Nivea can be brought into association with Rihanna."
Surprisingly her recent antics don’t seem to fit in line with his theory that Nivea "stands for trust, family and reliability" despite it only being a year since they snapped up the Barbadian singer to front up their campaigns.
Rihanna didn't seem to bothered by the news though, simply tweeting a picture of Heidenreich with simply 'No caption necessary' attached.
