R Kelly wants to leave the trauma of his child pornography trial behind him by joining humanitarian efforts in Africa. The 41-year-old singer faced up to 15 years behind bars when he went on trial for 14 child pornography charges in June, but he was cleared on all counts.Kelly opened up for the first time about his acquittal during a U.S. TV special for cable network BET on Tuesday, and admits he's been inspired to take on charity efforts to take the focus away from the media circus surrounding the saga.He says, "I've got a few tour offers to go to Africa. (My) management is trying to put it all together and make it right, where I can be over there for a while and not just go over there to tour... and really get into things, some humanity stuff. I don't know what that is yet but I want to make it more than just going over there and do a show."It will be (powerful) for me too because ever since (I was) a kid, I've always wondered and been curious about Africa, and this will be my first time going."
