Pro Green in hospital for Meningitis scare
Professor Green has been forced to pull out of a festival performance this weekend after he was hospitalised following a meningitis scare.
The I Need You Tonight hitmaker told fans last week he was suffering from tonsilitis for the third time this year.
He became so ill on Thursday and sought medical advice, fearing the worst.
A doctor prescribed Green strong painkillers and as a result axed his slot at Global Gathering festival in Stratford-Upon-Avon on Friday.
The star tweeted: "So gutted I can't perform at global... Tonsils are the bane of my life at the moment! Sick of getting sick. Chronic tonsillitis stinks. I've never pulled a live gig before, I feel so s**t about having to do it.
"Severe bout of tonsillitis, ended up in hospital to rule out meningitis and throat abscess. Not brilliant."
