Soul superstar Prince proved he can still draw a crowd after selling out two upcoming concerts in less than eight minutes when tickets went on sale on Saturday.
Eager fans snapped up more than 7,000 tickets for the singer's headlining gigs at the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland later this month in just seven minutes and 58 seconds.
The Purple Rain hitmaker will close the event with two consecutive shows on 18 July. In 2007, Prince set a record after selling more than 4,500 concert tickets for the Swiss event in just 10 minutes.
Artists including the Black Eyed Peas, Steely Dan, Herbie Hancock, Grace Jones and B.B. King are also set to take the stage at the lakeside festival, which kicked off on Friday.
