Kasabian guitarist Serge Pizzorno has credited fatherhood with helping him "focus" on recording material for the band’s next album.
The guitarist's wife, Amy, gave birth to Ennio in August, and Pizzorno has since headed back into the studio with his band-mates to work on a follow-up to 2009's West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum.
And the star is adamant that becoming a dad has helped him come up with new material.
He tells NME magazine, "Fatherhood has kind of made it easier (working on the album). The little things in life that do your head in (frustrate you) just disappear, the nonsense just evaporates. It's the most important thing, and it makes you think, 'As long as he's alright...'
"It helps you focus, in a way."
