Singer Pink has been called a "stupid girl" and "ignorant" after she accused carriage drivers in New York of abusing their horses. The vegetarian singer has appeared on billboards all over the city that urge New Yorkers to boycott the traditional mode of transport. The singer is currently teaming up with People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals to get the message across to people of New York. The singer, who's previous hits include 'Stupid Girl', said: "Every time I see these horses in New York City, it hurts my heart. These horses aren't taken care of at all - their hooves are made for grass and they're forced to walk on concrete, and there's fumes from all the traffic in the city, which the horses suck in all day."The Horse and Carriage Association has hit back at Pink and urged her and PETA to get their facts straight before any more campaigning. Spokesperson Carolyn Daly told the New York Daily News: "A true Stupid Girl is one who talks pubicly about something she knows nothing about. They have specialized shoes for concrete. We haven't had one animal cruelty violation from the three agencies that oversee us."
