Phil Spector Fires Legal Team....
Music mogul Phil Spector will not retain his legal team when he's retried for the murder of actress Lana Clarkson.The record producer's attorney Christopher Plourd has confirmed he's "the last man standing" after Spector dismissed his defence team.But Plourd admits he won't be around when the case goes back to trial because Spector is looking for a new lawyer.At a court hearing in Los Angeles on Wednesday (03Oct07), prosecutor Alan Jackson confirmed the district attorney's office will retry Spector after the mogul's last stint in court was ruled a mistrial last month (Sep07), when jurors couldn't agree unanimously if the producer was guilty or not.Spector still stands accused of murdering Clarkson at his Alhambra, California mansion in 2003.During the trial, Spector's legal team maintained Clarkson was depressed and suicidal and shot herself.The producer went through three legal teams during the five-month trial. He fired his first attorney and New York lawyer Bruce Cutler quit as lead counsel after disagreeing with his client.
