Incarcerated music mogul Phil Spector's latest attempt to overturn his murder conviction has been quashed after officials at the California Supreme Court refused to consider his appeal.
The record producer, 71, was found guilty of the murder of actress Lana Clarkson and sentenced to 19 years to life behind bars in 2009.
His lawyers have previously appealed the ruling twice, but both attempts, including one in May, were dismissed, with officials insisting there was overwhelming evidence of his guilt.
Spector's legal team attempted to launch another appeal, but on Wednesday court chiefs officially refused to consider the bid.
