Pete Wentz lost his trademark floppy hairstyle on Sunday night, when pal Mark Hoppus shaved him live onstage at New York's Madison Square Garden.
The Fall Out Boy rocker has sported the much-copied look - dubbed the emo haircut - for five years.
But it disappeared in seconds after Wentz invited the Blink-182 bassist onstage with a razor, as the star proclaimed, "So you guys know Jay-Z's Death of Auto-Tune? This is the death of the emo haircut."
Wentz later described his new look as "more aerodynamic".
