CHIC guitarist NILE RODGERS will always fear that his cancer will return. Even when he gets ill or feels " out of the ordinary" he fears it is cancer related.
The veteran music producer underwent intensive medical treatment to battle an aggressive form of the disease following his diagnosis last year (10). He was declared cancer-free in March (11).
But the Le Freak hitmaker admits he now thinks the worst whenever he's ill or fatigued, and even jetlag can set his mind spinning.
In a post on his blog on Monday (06 Jun 11), he writes, "Once cancer attacks you it's easy to think that anything you feel out of the ordinary is cancer related.
"I was knocked on my a** today but let's face it, I did a concert yesterday which required five hours of drive time, as well as just returning home from a frenetic Asian trip thirty hours before, and I do this blog every day."
On other news Nile Rodgers has admitted to taking unlikely inspiration from Green Day. His 'Le Freak' guitar contest out on the road where audience members are invited to come up on stage and perform his classic. This act of taking people up on stage has been borrowed inspiration from Green Day.
