Dolly Parton Anxious Over Broadway Show

Veteran country star Dolly Parton is struggling to contain her nerves ahead of the Broadway debut of her stage show 9 TO 5: The Musical.

The legendary singer received rave reviews when the stage version of her hit 1980 movie 9 To 5 opened in Los Angeles last year (08).

But Parton - who wrote the score for the production - is battling fears ahead of its upcoming New York run, which begins on 07 April (09).

I'm anxious about it. I've been working on this for four years and the thing about Broadway is you could work four years and close the next night

She says, "I'm anxious about it. I've been working on this for four years and the thing about Broadway is you could work four years and close the next night - or never open at all. Everything's a chance."

Soundgarden Stage Mini-Reunion At Morello Show

Three quarters of cult rock act Soundgarden reunited for a surprise show in Seattle, Washington on Wednesday (25Mar09).

Kim Thayil, Matt Cameron and Ben Shepherd took the stage at the Crocodile Cafe as part of Tom Morello's Justice Tour stop in the city.

Frontman Chris Cornell was replaced by Tad Doyle, and the band renamed Tadgarden for the concert.

The quartet played three tunes - Spoonman, Hunted Down and Nothing to Say.

It marked the first time the Soundgarden bandmates had performed together since splitting in 1997.

Morello, who excitedly introduced the band, was a member of Audioslave, which was fronted by Cornell.

Cradle Of Filth Scrap Festival Appearance

British rockers Cradle Of Filth have disappointed fans in Germany by scrapping an appearance at a music festival in the country.

The band was due to play at the upcoming Tomahawk Festival in Hamm, Germany on Saturday (28Mar09) but pulled out of the gig at the last minute.

The group has apologised to fans who were looking forward to see them - but have failed to offer a reason for the cancellation.

A statement on Cradle of Filth's MySpace.com website reads, "Due to circumstances beyond our control we have been prevented from performing at the Tomahawk Festival. Anyone who has already bought tickets and is unhappy about this should contact the promoter of the event. We are very sad if we have disappointed anyone as would never have wished to do that.

"Please accept our sincere apologies and we shall see you on our European tour."
