Kasabian Star's Charity Bike Ride
Kasabian Star Chris Edwards has signed up to take part in a gruelling charity bicycle ride across Britain to raise money for children with cancer.
The bass player and his brother, Jay, will cycle nearly 900 miles (1,448 kilometres) across the U.K. from the southern tip of Cornwall, England - known as Land's End - to the northern village of John O' Groats in Scotland.
The pair will set off on 4 September (10) and spend 14 days on the road before reaching their destination.
They hope to raise $7,500 (£5,000) for the Teenage Cancer Trust, according to Britain's The Sun.
La Roux Scraps U.S. Tour Dates As Jackson Falls Ill
British pop sensations La Roux have scrapped the remainder of their U.S. tour after singer Elly Jackson was told she was too ill to perform.
The Bulletproof hitmakers made the announcement on their Facebook page, revealing Jackson has pharyngitis.
The statement reads, "Her doctor has advised her to rest for three weeks so unfortunately she’ll be unable to continue with her American tour.
"We are endeavouring to reschedule as many of the cancelled shows for November as possible. An announcement will be made shortly."

Eminem has taken aim at Kanye West for wrecking Taylor Swift's big night at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, insisting the rapper should have shown more class.
West stunned music fans when he grabbed the microphone from the country sweetheart to protest her win for Best Female Video, insisting the prize belonged to Beyonce for her Single Ladies (Put A Ring on It) promo.
Speaking about the incident for the first time, Eminem tells Spin magazine he thinks West should have dealt with the matter a little differently.
He says, "He shouldn't have done that, man. I mean, she's (Swift) a little girl."
Rihanna Gives Boyfriend Kemp A Baseball Boost
The Los Angeles Dodgers might want to put Rihanna on the pay-roll - a late night out with boyfriend Matt Kemp fired him up for an all-star baseball performance against the New York Mets on Thursday (22Jul10).
The slugger smashed his 17th home run of the season as the Dodgers beat the Mets 2-0 in Los Angeles, despite the fact Kemp had been out partying with his girlfriend the night before.
Reports suggest the sportsman and the singer arrived at Hollywood club Drai's to celebrate Rihanna's concert at the Staples Center - and they never took their hands or eyes off one another.
