Mumford & Sons

Mumford and Sons are set to release the follow-up to 2009's 'Sigh No More' on September 24.

Paste Magazine reports that the band made the announcement from the stage at the Pinkpop Festival in the Netherlands yesterday. Frontman Marcus Mumford apparently told the crowd that the band had finished recording the labum, before keyboard player Ben Lovett released their plan for an autumn release.

The band will stage two festivals this summer. The first event will take place at Huddersfield's Greenhead Park on June 2, with Michael Kiwanuka, Willy Mason, The Correspondents and Nathaniel Rateliff also scheduled to perform. The second will happen a week later on June 9 at Galway's Salthill Park, with The Vaccines, Zulu Winter, Nathaniel Rateliff, Willy Mason and The Correspondents booked to play the event.

Mumford & Sons have written a new track titled 'Learn Me Right' as part of the soundtrack to the new Pixar film Brave. 'Learn Me Right' has been written, arranged and produced by the band, but features singer Birdy providing vocals.
