Bret Michaels has postponed two shows on his U.S. tour in areas hit hard by Hurricane Irene last weekend.
The storm swept across America's East Coast, causing severe damage to several states including New York, North Carolina and Connecticut.
The town of Ridgefield in Connecticut was left devastated by the storm, and the venue Michaels was due to play next week, the Ridgefield Playhouse, was flooded.
The Poison frontman has pushed back his show to 15 September. As a result of the postponement, his gig in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania has been moved to 10 November.
A post on Michaels' website reads, "Ridgefield, CT was hit particularly hard by Hurricane Irene, leaving many residents in Ridgefield without power and causing severe damages. The Ridgefield Playhouse itself has been flooded...
"Bret and everyone at Michaels Entertainment wish a speedy recovery to the people and businesses effected by last week's events."
