Melanie Brown has infuriated residents of her home town in England - by branding the city of Leeds "intimidating and depressing".
The former Spice Girl, who now lives in Los Angeles, returned to her roots for a week as part of U.K. TV show Seven Days on the Breadline and was shocked by the experience of being back where she grew up.
She says, "It's a world away from my recollection of what it was like growing up in the area of West Yorkshire during the seventies and eighties." But her rant against the city has angered locals - who have branded Brown's comments "sickening".
One tells British newspaper the Daily Star, "As far as I'm concerned, she's ain't (sic) welcome here anymore. You only have to see the way she behaved while she was here to realise it's her who has changed, not us."
