Spice Girls Plan To Carry On Without Posh And Ginger....
Melanie Chisholm wants to ditch bandmates Victoria Beckham and Geri Halliwell and carry on performing as the Spice Girls without them.The singer was annoyed when a final set of concerts in China, South Africa, Australia and Argentina were scrapped so her bandmates could spend more time with their families.She released a statement insisting it wasn't her decision - prompting rumours of a rift in the group.Speaking to Wenn, the singer refuses to discuss rumours of a rift within the band, but she reveals she's already planning her life after the Spice Girls.Chisholm wants to team up with Baby Spice Emma Bunton and Scary Spice Melanie B on tour.She says, "If they'd be up for it - I think it would be lovely. I enjoy singing with the girls. It would be great. I've always liked singing with Melanie B. We did a duet on the first world tour with the Spice Girls and I think our voices work well together. And also Emma. Our voices work well together too."Meanwhile Spice Girl Melanie Brown has landed her first post-tour gig - as a dancing queen.The British pop star has signed up to cover the new series of Dancing With The Stars as news show Access Hollywood's special correspondent.
The singer, who competed in the last season of the dancing contest, will follow the fortunes of celebrity contestants like Shannon Elizabeth, Priscilla Presley, Steve Guttenberg and Marlee Matlin during the sixth season of the hit show, which debuts on 17 March (08).
Mel B says, "I had such a wonderful experience on Dancing With The Stars last season and I'm looking forward to talking to all of this year's contestants about their journeys and experiences along the way and dropping in on all their rehearsals, but this time on the other side of the mic."
The busy Brit also plans to record a solo album and launch her own fashion line now her commitments with the reformed Spice Girls have ended.
