Dave Mustaine has reached out to Metallica's James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich to attempt to form the ultimate heavy rock supergroup.
Megadeath's Mustain claims he has already spoken to the duo about the idea and that they are thinking about it.
He imagines drummer Ulrich will agree if his frontman is on board.
The Megadeath star says: " James never said no, but it's still kind of out there in the air. I'm gonna keep hammering on him. It's on my bucket list (of things to do before I die)."
Mustaine reveals that Megadeath's David Elefson would be the supergroup's bassist.
The quartet all shared stages on the Big Four dates in Europe ealier this year.
Earlier in the week Megadeath had to cancel a show in Oklahoma after a member of their band took ill.
Fans were disappointed after they pulled out of the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival at the last minute.
A statement on their official Facebook says: "Due to a band member illness, Megadeth was forced to cancel tonight's performance...
"The band apologizes to their fans and everyone in attendance at tonight's show and hope to return to Oklahoma City as soon as possible."
The band member and illness are unknown.
