There's nothing we like better than a good old rags to riches story, and it looks as though this Christmases heart-warming tale comes courtesy of Tesco Mary - who looks set to make around a million quid!
Despite coming fifth in the X Factor last night, the Daily Mail reckons the checkout lady will bag herself a load of lucrative sponsorship deals; “Mary is set to make a fortune on the back of the X Factor, she has become a star. She has even been offered a plus sized clothing range for a supermarket and Marks and Spencer have been in touch. They love her - who knows, she could be joining Twiggy and Myleene Klass on the adverts in time!”
Considering she's a size 20 we’re assuming M&S probably won’t be using Mary in their saucy lingerie ads… we we're hoping Mary doesn't turn her back on Tesco after they've been so supportive… apparently bosses even got into trouble after they emailed 300,000 employees asking them to vote Mary.
Go on Tesco… give her a clothing range!
