M.I.A’s announced that she’s set to unleash her fourth album this December in a Twitter Q&A on Tuesday.
Not only will there be an album, but there’ll be a book, documentary and even an art exhibition to coincide with the record’s release.
Expected to be called Matangi, MIA was able to give a few details about the album, claiming that there are no collaborations, it will be between 5 and 15 tracks and, apparently will sound like “Paul Simon on acid.”
It’ll be her first album since 2010’s Maya and the Sri Lankan music maker has claimed that the new album has been inspired by the last few years of her life saying “No one in the industry collected blows in the last 3 years as much as me” before claiming that Matangi “is a f**k you to them and a thank you to you.”
