British pop star Lily Allen is fuming after her new album failed to make the shortlist for the prestigious Mercury Prize - insisting the judges "hate" her.
The nominations for the coveted music award were announced on Tuesday with stars including Florence and the Machine, La Roux, and The Horrors all competing for the honour, which is bestowed on the most groundbreaking and influential British album of the year.
But Allen's latest record It's Not Me, It's You, which was a bookies' favourite to make the list, was left out - and the singer isn't happy about it, she took to her Twitter.com page to complain about the snub, saying she was "a bit sad" when the nominations came out and criticising the panel for excluding her.
She writes, "The judges hate me, but the people, dem (sic) love me. I hope La Roux wins."
