Lil' Wayne Arrest Was A 'misunderstanding'....

Rapper Lil' Wayne has dismissed his recent arrest for a felony fugitive charge, insisting it was a "misunderstanding".The hip-hop star - real name Dwayne Michael Carter Jr. - was apprehended by authorities on Friday night (05Oct07) following a gig in Boise, Idaho, and was booked into Ada County jail.The arrest was as a result of two missed court dates in relation to an August 2006 incident, when Carter was charged with drug possession in Atlanta, Georgia.But Carter has now been released on $20,000 (£10,000) bail after his lawyer, William Head, filed for an emergency release order, claiming his client was unaware of the court dates. Bail was granted on Saturday evening (06Oct07).Head tells AllHipHop.com: "When someone's this successful, there are chances things will fall through the cracks. They were under the impression that those charges had either been resolved or dismissed."We want to make sure the court knows he's not trying to stay away from Georgia."Carter is expected to appear in a Fulton County court on Tuesday (09Oct07).
