Lethal Bizzle can count himself off my Christmas card list after saying he is “out to get” Blur guitarist (and uber-hottie) Alex James after he was refused permission to sample Song 2 on his new album.
Bizzle, who was playing a Biz Session for The Sun, told the paper "I met Alex when he was judging the Orange Unsigned Act competition. I played him my song Rockstar and he absolutely loved it. I am a huge Blur fan and used a sample of Song 2. Alex said it was genius and asked me to play it again.
"I told him I wanted to release it and Alex said he would be able to clear it, no problem. He said: 'Don't worry about the rest of the guys. DAMON will be cool. They'll love it. It's f**king brilliant.'
But it seems that Alex was just humouring poor old Bizzle, as he continued; "A few weeks went by and I heard nothing. Then I got a letter from the record label saying the band wouldn't approve it. I was gutted.”
But rather than letting it drop now, Lethal Bizzle added; "Alex, I'm out to get you man. You wait." Err, sorry mate, but I think if Alex James is ‘got’ within the next week or two, the finger will be firmly pointed at you.
