Lenny Kravitz credits daughter for his sober ways
Lenny Kravitz has credited his actress daughter Zoe with helping him to sober up adfter his lengthy drug addiction.
The rocker admits he spent a lot of time partying and getting high all the time when he was at the peak of his success, his daughter, then 11 came to stay with him and so he had to clean up his act.
The Let Love Rule singer tells Men's Journal magazine: ""I had to surround myself with energy and chaos and excitement and conflict. For a bit I was high all the time, just medicating... I suppose that was so I didn't have to feel certain things."
When his daughter came to stay full-time, Kravitz knew he's have to change his ways: "It was the best thing that happened. I had to change my life. I was in the middle of my craziness. I had to focus, and I wanted to focus, but all of a sudden, here it was. I began to slowly change my life.
"If that hadn't happened, I don't know where I'd be now."
