Kid Rock has hit out at American Idol bosses for not allowing wannabes to perform their own songs on the reality show.Rock is fed up with watching contestants perform cover versions of other artists' material on the TV talent search.He tells American magazine Blender, "It sucks. I think they should allow songwriters in. Someone singing a song they wrote - there's nothing more powerful.".Meanwhile Rock reveals he has a portable stripper pole he carries with him everywhere -because women "can't help themselves" when they see it. The U.S. star insists his fold-away piece of adult entertainment is the perfect ice-breaker at parties. He tells American magazine Maxim, "I've got a portable one (stripper pole). Put a pole in a room and girls can't help themselves. All girls want to be sexy. "It's like having a keg at the party rather than cans of beer."
