Kevin Federline believes the court ruling giving him custody of his two children with Britney Spears was "justified", his lawyer has said. The rapper/dancer, who has been handed physical custody of the couple's two young sons, arrived at the Los Angeles hearing on Wednesday (03Oct07) flanked by bodyguards and wearing a mysterious eye patch. His attorney Mark Kaplan told reporters outside the court the decision was a fair ruling. Spears, 25, did not show up for the hearing. Her attorneys appeared in court to ask the judge to change his mind about his custody ruling. The next hearing in the pair's ongoing custody battle for Sean Preston, two, and Jayden James, one, is scheduled for 26 October (07).The judge has requested both parents attend.Meanwhile Britney Spears' cousin and former assistant has moved out of the Malibu, California home she has been sharing with the pop star - and into an apartment in the same complex as the Toxic singer's estranged mother.
Alli Sims was spotted packing up the last of her belongings and leaving Spears' home on Wednesday (03Oct07), as her troubled cousin checked into a Beverly Hills hotel amid the child custody battle with her ex-husband Kevin Federline.
Sims insists the move is something she has been eyeing for a while: "It was not sudden... I've been planning this for six months. I've just been doing it slowly. I've had an apartment all along."And Sims, who is embarking on her own pop career, insists the fact that she'll be a neighbour of Lynn Spears in her new Marina Del Rey, California home is a coincidence.
She adds, "It's not like I'm moving in with her."
