It seems that when people get a bit of Katy Perry, they just want more.
Following the release of her 3-D film Part of Me, her album sales in the States have more than quadrupled, sending her flying up the charts once again.
While the album climbed seven places over here back into the top forty, it’s our American friends that went the most Perry-mad.
Teenage Dream sold 76,555 copies in the US, a phenomenal increase of 451% over the last week getting her back up to number two in the album charts. A nice little bonus to the film’s respectable openings in the UK, US and Australia, breaking into the box office top ten in each area.
