Kanye West is refusing to change the release date of his new album, despite it clashing with the launch of 50 Cent's latest disc - because he wants to go head to head with the rapper.West initially planned to release his third album Graduation on 21 August (07), to avoid a sales war with 50 Cent's new disc Curtis. But West and 50 - real name Curtis Jackson - will release their albums simultaneously on 11 September. He tells Mtv, "The date, Graduation, September 11, we ain't moving."I'd rather come out on a day like that, up against 50 - where people are excited about going to the stores and it's an event and people talk about it - and be number two on that day, rather than come out and be number one on a day nobody cares about."It's about things going down in history. It's not that much exciting stuff in hip-hop right now. I think people are going to make it more than what I'm making it myself."
