Hot off the back of being touted by BBC1 Evening News as One To Watch and a sell out single launch gig at DIngwalls, we are very pleased to announce that Juan Zelada is now joining the likes of Paul Simon, Willie Nelson and Sir Paul McCartney to work with the legendary Decca Records under the Universal Music Group umbrella. Signing the contract with Decca Records just last week, Juan is already set to release his debut album with them in the New Year.
'I am so unbelievably excited and blown away by all the media support which has led me to finally sign a recording deal with Decca Records. Its like a dream come true.'
Arriving in the UK from Spain 8 years ago, with just a guitar on his back, singer songwriter Juan Zelada has worked hard to get where he is now.
He started off in London playing piano in restaurants, bars and weddings in an effort to survive in the city.
After a considerable amount of time on the road honing his sound, Juan formed his own band of talented musicians and the rest is history.
2011 has been a really exciting year for Juan, seeing him quickly become one of the most talked about names on the music scene.
His first two singles released this year, ‘Breakfast in Spitalfields’ and ‘The Blues Remain’, both received Record of the Week and A-playlist status on Radio 2 alongside rave reviews in the music and lifestyle press.
Now, with his timelessly crafted sound and classic good looks, the multi-talented pianist, guitarist and songwriter is ready to charm 2012.
