Soul singer Joss Stone has spoken out in support of Hollywood actor Tom Cruise, vowing to stand up for the star to defend his reputation.Cruise's public persona has been damaged in recent years by a media baffled by his devotion to the Church of Scientology - but Stone, 20, insists the Top Gun star is widely misunderstood.She says, "Tom called me and said that he loved my music, would I like to come over and meet the family?"I do not understand why people are so mean about him. He's lovely, he didn't strike me as weird in any way. I will stand up for that man against any of his critics".
