John Frusciante, former Red Hot Chili Peppers star, has filed for a restraining order against a 32-year-old filmmaker said to be harrassing him.
The guitarist claims he is worried that August Elizabeth Thomas is 'unstable and that she could snap at any moment.'
In legal paperwork obtained by TMZ.com, Frusciante says Thomas first approached him last year with the idea of making a film about his life story.
He turned down the offer and became the target of emails and letters which he says were 'long, rambling and overly emotional.'
The rocker claims she turned up at concerts where his wife Nicole Turley was performing to talk about her script ideas and he has since decided on a restraining order after she turned up at his house on 28 and 29 July.
In the documents he writes: "I fear both for my safety and for my wife's safety.
"Given that my wife and I are musicians and often play at venues around the world, it is hard for us to avoid Ms. Thomas if she is free to continually show up to harass us."
