Jermaine Jackson insists his late brother Michael put too much trust in his doctors, and it wsw clear to those with his best interests at heart he was struggling during his final days.
The late star's sibling has revealed the extent of his brother's health issues in a new book You Are Not Alone: Michael, Through a Brother's Eyes, and claims the Thriller singer was 'toxically poisoned'.
Jermaine insists his brother has been on a constant search for pain medication since his hair caught fire during the filming of a Pepsi advert in 1984, and his doctors made it too easy for him to switch doses and strength.
In his final days, the pop superstar's years of painkiller dependency was clear, and sometimes he couldn't function properly as he rehearsed for a series of This Is It concerts in London.
Promoting the book on Access Hollywood, Jermain says: "There were some days that weren't good days... Just imagine you're trusting your doctors and you're getting ready to do a show... You just put a $15 million payment on a home, you have a five-year plan beyond This Is It and all of a sudden, you're having these symptoms... Half of your body is hot, half is ice cold, you're repeating yourself, you're going left when you should go right onstage, you're told to climb out of this feather-weight little, butterfly or something, a prop onstage (and) you can't even lift it.
"My brother has never had these symptoms in the past. These are signs of toxic poisoning in his system."
Michael Jackson died from an overdose of anaesthetic Propofol in June, 2009.
His personal physician Dr Conrad Murray of accused of administering the fatal drug. He has pleaded not guilty to involuntary manslaughter and is due to stand trial later in the month.
