Jade Goody

Jade Goody

We know the nation - in particular OK! Magazine - hasn’t been able to stop talking about Jade since she found out she had a terminal illness last year. But since her death, there has been talk of books, films and now, shock horror, a musical.

Never really looking like she fancied a career in music, why exactly people think Jade would like to have her very own version of a stage show is, quite frankly, beyond my comprehension, but nevertheless, a former business partner and friend of the late reality TV star has confirmed the plans.

What’s more the friend, Danny Hayward who is in charge of the project, is planning to hold open audition to find the girl to take the lead role of the 27-year-old herself; he told the BBC; “Jade was just an ordinary girl and the person who plays her will reflect that, the most important thing is to give someone a break, just like she got."

There’s no doubt that tickets will fly off the shelves though, as thousands of people turned out to see the funeral procession, which travelled through London and honoured the late big brother star who passed away in March after she lost her high-profile battle with cervical cancer.

Just one question remains though, isn’t it about time we just let Jade Rest In Peace?
