Jack Johnson, the Hawaiian born musician, filmmaker and surfer will be headlining his very own concert in London’s Hyde Park on 2 July 2008. Jack will be supported by G Love & Special Sauce and Mason Jennings.Jack is one of the UK’s favourite artists, his album, In Between Dreams has now sold over 1,360,000 copies in the UK and his total worldwide sales are over 15 million.His first visit to the UK in May 2005 was a phenomenal success. The low-key shows in Shepherd’s Bush and Cornwall sold out in nine minutes, and the public and media reaction was incredible. When Jack returned to the UK in February 2006, he played sold-out arena shows and performed at the BRIT Awards his UK TV debut - alongside Gorillaz, Coldplay and Kanye West. Jack’s night was capped when he won the award for International Breakthrough Act. In the two years since In Between Dreams came out, Jack has been spending time with his family, and focusing on the Kokua Hawaii Foundation which he started with his wife that focuses on recycling programmes and education in Hawaii's schools. Jack has three passions in his life: music, surfing and his family, though not necessarily in that order. As music lovers everywhere have fallen head over heels for his unique, acoustic sound, it’s heartening to know that Jack’s music is a pure distillation of his own character.
