Flying Dickinson Shocks Soccer Heroes.... Iron Maiden frontman and part-time pilot Bruce Dickinson stunned Scottish soccer team Glasgow Rangers when they discovered he was flying them to a match in Israel.Soccer fan Dickinson volunteered for the flight when he discovered the airline he works for, Astraeus, had been called upon to take Rangers to a Uefa cup match in Tel Aviv this month.And he quickly discovered Rangers manager Walter Smith is an Iron Maiden fan.A spokesperson for Astraeus says, "When Bruce heard we had the Rangers charter, he was very keen to do the flight. He's a big fan of football ."Smith adds, "I would never have thought Bruce would be flying our plane."I know his band's stuff quite well. I remember going to meet them when they played Edinburgh a few years ago."
