Rapper Flo Rida has spoken out about reports connecting two members of his entourage to an animal abuse scandal, insisting he is "sickened" by what has been written.
Internet reports suggested that two men travelling with the Low hitmaker were wanted for questioning by police in Kentucky after they were spotted stepping off his tourbus and allegedly killing a rabbit on Wednesday (25Mar09).
Witnesses contacted Lexington Police who joined with Kentucky State Police and Lexington Animal Control officials to launch an investigation into the alleged incident.
But Flo Rida insists the reports of wrongdoing are all incorrect, stating,"while no one in my party was in any way involved in any incident, the media report that I saw was sickening. As an animal lover, I would never want to see cruelty inflicted upon them."
Meanwhile the rapper has scored a big double on the new U.S. pop chart with his number one single Right Round featuring Keri Hilson. His other single Suga has become the highest debut, rolling in at number 25 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Right Round faced tough competition from Lady Gaga's Poker Face which has taken the new number two spot, and Kiss Me Thru The Phone by Soulja Boy Tell 'em, rounds out the new top three.
