The ban on Dire Straits' Money for Nothing has been lifted in Candada.
The 1985 track was pulled from stations earlier in the year following complaints over the use of the word 'faggot' in the lyrics. Radio bosses were told they had to play an edited version of the tune/
Canadian Broadcast Standards Council bosses argued social valued had 'shifted' since the track was first released 26 years ago.
Dire Straits keyboard player called the ban 'hilarious and unbelievable' and now the CBSC officials have decided the boycott was a fuss over nothing and have given permission to play the original track again.
