Dermot O’Leary might be something of a British gem, but he’s admitted that he really wants to leap across the pond and front the US version of The X Factor.
Dermot is hoping this could be his big break across the pond, but is worried that Simon Cowell might pick an established American star for the job, saying; “I would do anything to get on that show. It’s a bummer!” in an interview with Closer.
Dermot shouldn’t hang up his shiny shoes just yet though as no decisions have been made just yet, it’s even thought that both Cheryl Cole and even Louis Walsh may still be invited to take part.
Whilst Simon has told his friends that he doesn’t want the new show to be too “Brit heavy,” it looks as though all we can do is sit quietly and wait until next year!
