Cheryl Cole proved that actions speak louder than words last night after she removed her wedding ring for her performance at The Brit Awards - sending a clear message to both her husband Ashley, as well as her loyal fans.

It’s the first time our favourite popstar has been snapped without her ring on since the Ashley Coles Text Sex scandal hit the headlines last week, and insiders are claiming that their marriage is pretty much over now.

Whilst the couple have been plagued by rumours of a split for months, it seems as though Ashley’s second bout of infidelity is the final straw for Miss Cole - who had said she would never forgive someone who did the dirty on her.

Showing just how much she is adored by Britain, and that we’re all clearly ‘Team Cheryl’ the pop tart received a standing ovation after her performance, before host Peter Kay joked; "You've got to fight for this love - never a truer word spoken."
