Catatonia singer Cerys Matthews, has temporarily hung up her microphone to focus on writing children's books.
The Welsh singer is set to release her first book, titled 'Tales from the Deep', which contains two kids' stories based on Welsh folklore.
She tells Britain's Telegraph magazine, "I've always written stories and in May I have my own children's book coming out, Tales From The Deep. It is two stories based on the ancient Welsh legends Cantre'r Gwaelod and the Maid of Llyn y Fan, which I read as a child."
This is not her first attempt at writing after she wrote and presented a BBC documentary on Celtic songs as well as writing a script for a documentary of early blues singers.
She is now branching out to children, to educate them on the history of Wales.
