Cave escaped the accident after his Jaguar crashed in to a speed camera in Hove.

Cave’s twin sons were in the car at the time but no injury was reported.

A police spokesperson stated: “The camera belongs to the Sussex Safer Roads Partnership, not the police, and the railings belong to the local highway authority. Both agencies were informed. Nobody has been arrested but police inquiries are continuing.”
